Very compact hotel and kept well and the location is good and Central. Staff are friendly. But during our stay the room provided was not very convenient for the baby and to keep the pram. Room cleaning was not thorough and no refill of coffee and tea or toiletries was done after the first day. Breakfast is not good and fresh foods were stale and fruits not replaced after the first day of our visit and on the last day, practically not much was there is too at all although we had confirmed the request for breakfast the previous day.
Nice location, good rooms and excellent service.
The dinner was a disaster though. For 15,50€ you will get a jar of chicken compot, or a jar of lasange, or a jar of tortellini, or a jar of... All ordered up front in the reception with no possibility of additional courses. And they are small!
Only thing saving my freinds and me, was the daily manager who served bread and cheese to avoid he's costumers going hungry to bed.
But for those 15€ you also gets a free can of water.
I like the hotel and the freindly staff, but I will never recommend it to anyone due to this "restaurant" scam. Despite the glamour folder found in the rooms, they don't even have a kitchen.
The 3 stars goes only to the location, the staff and rooms.
The dinner experience should have withdrawn one of the stars again, but the staff doesn't deserve that.
Everything about this hotel was very good, with one exception.
The gentleman at the check-in, who seems to be in charge of a number of functions at the hotel, does his job correctly, but in spite of that is profoundly unpleasant to interact with. His assistant seems to be tasked with making up for his unpleasantness, which she does throughout the day much to his lack of notice.
I had the pleasure to stay in Hotel Carmin for a few days with my parents. The hotel has some magical charm to it. The colors are really warm which creates this wonderful, dream-like, peaceful ambiance. The interplay between arts, colors and timeless pieces makes every interior unique. The staff is very helpful and friendly too, and had proved to be of help. The rooms are comfortable and clean. Lastly, the hotel is very well located (next to Hôtel de Ville and La Plage). So, if you dream of a magical getaway, Hotel Carmin will get you there.

Staying at Hôtel Carmin is an absolute delight from the moment you are greeted until you depart. Nothing is a problem, help is offered with any part of your stay you may need. The rooms are clean and contain everything you might need. Breakfast has many options. The location is terrific and close to all the best Le Havre has to offer. I'd definitely stay there again!
Clean and well-maintained rooms. Located half a kilometer from the beach. Lovely breakfast spread with a fine selection of confiture and teas. Special thanks to Monsieur Jean-Pierre and Monsieur Thierry for keeping the environment so lovely and attending to all our requests!
Thierry, the receptionist, was absolutely fantastic, making a big difference in the experience.
The breakfast was good and the room spacious.
Although it was cold the heating was working properly and the cleaning was done properly.
It was a good cost-benefit hotel, well located.
Extremely friendly, helpful staff. Very clean and very well equipped room. Centrally located. Convenient for town centre, shops, beach, and trams. Will definitely stay here again.
